The Suzuki Swift Sport has made its world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The hatchback sports a lower front bumper, a new grille, a larger air intakes, 17-inch alloy wheels and the two exhausts. Inside, new sport seats are the main addition.

The new Swift Sport is equipped by a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine with output has increased from 125 to 135 hp and torque is increased from 148 Nm to 160 Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 200 km/h.

Despite the increased performance, average fuel consumption has dropped from 7.0-liter/100 km to 6.4-liter/100 km and CO2 emissions down to 147g/km from 165g/km.

The new Swift Sport will be available in Britain early next year.
