BMW has introduced the 2012 M5 at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier on Tuesday.

The new M5 is equipped by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 560 hp available from 6,000 to 7,000 rpm and 502 lb-ft of torque, but it might have two few cylinders than last year’s model.

Despite the power boost, but it also cut fuel consumption by more than 30% to 9.9-liter/100 km (23.8mpg), thanks to a full complement of EfficientDynamics upgrades, like automatic start/stop and brake energy regeneration.

The 2012 M5 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 13.0 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h, which can be lifted to 305 km/h with the M Driver’s package.
