New Beetle Will be a Comprehensive Improvement

Although not popular as the older version but the New Beetle is getting a lot of special care from Volkswagen.


Currently, VW still planning to build reputation for Beetle new versions. Expected, New Beetle comprehensive improvements will debut in the International Exhibition of Cars North America (NAIAS), held in Detroit next year.

According to inside information Volkswagen, New Beetle is not merely a redesigned version of the current model, that is completely new car. Underneath the body comprehensive improvement is a new chassis with longer axis basis to increase control features.

Regarding the engine, customers can choose from a variety of machines for your New Beetle. Topping the list is 2.0 liters engine for 210 horsepower capacity. Next is a 1.2 liter (105 horsepower) and 1.4 liter (160 horsepower) and 2.5 liter (170 horsepower) just for the U.S. market. Also, the type of diesel engine include 2.0 liters and 1.6 liters for capacity respectively 105 and 140 horsepower. Addition, the New Beetle also has hybrid versions 1.4 liter supercharged engine for 150 horsepower combined with 27 horsepower electric motor similar Jetta CC.

Current generation Volkswagen Beetle will stop production this year. Before that, public opinion had burst out rumors about the new version will be released in 2012. However, VW seems to want to release the new Beetle sooner than expected.
