Lotus announced engine on the Evora S and Evora IPS

To prepare debut in the Paris motor show, Lotus has officially announced the new changes on engine the Evora S.


Accordingly, Evora IPS will be equipped with V6 3.5 liter engine, with capacity of 280 bhp (206 kW/276 hp) and reaches maximum torque of 350 Nm (258 pounds-feet). Combined with an automatic transmission 6-speed help the car accelerate from 0-100 km/h in around 5.5 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 250 km/hour. In particular, the level of vehicle fuel consumption only 8.8 lit/100 km, emissions are 208 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

On the other hand, the capacity of the S Evora is powered by a supercharged V6 3.5 liters engine, making it a capacity of 350 horsepower and torque up to 400 Nm. It still uses automatic gearbox six speeds allow faster vehicle, acceleration from 0-100 km/h in around 4.6 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 277 km/hour.

Evora S model also comes with a sport package standard. Allows the driver adjust and the exhaust valve is activated, brake systems, wheel rims and a rear diffuser.

In addition, the requirements of braking systems, cooling performance of the new version is almost available in original version of Evora. Therefore, development time of Evora S was shortened. Evora S looks virtually unchanged compared with the original sample Evora, the most visible difference is rear diffuser is larger.

As CEO of Lotus, Mr Dany Bahar said. "The new equipment on the S Evora help the driver easier in control."

Two new models will be launched in Paris motor show in September. Expected price of the new version at about £ 60,000.
