The 599 GTO was developed based on the platform of the 599XX - upgraded version of the 599 GTB supercar. In other words, GTO is long street car high performance - Grand Tourer.
The GTO was equipped with V12 6.0 liters engine like Ferrari Enzo, but has been upgraded to reach the maximum capacity of 661 horsepower, maximum torque of 620 Nm. Surprisingly, the 599 GTO was capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 3.35 seconds and can reach a top speed of 208 mph (333 km/h).
The weight of the 599 GTO would have been reduced to 430 lbs (195 kg) compared with the 599 GTB and is only 3295 lbs (1495 kg).
The 599 GTO fuel consumption 17.5 liters/100 km and CO2 emissions are 411 g/km. The GTO complete Fiorano test round takes 1 minute 24 seconds(the Enzo takes 1:24:9).
The GTO comes with F1-inspired aerodynamics, including a new front splitter, side sills, rim diffusers, a double curve rear diffuser and a rear spoiler. The car rides on a set of 20 inch wheels that uses special donuts to further enhance aerodynamics.
The car has a price of $460,000 and will be limited production at 599 units.
