New Rexton RX4 was equipped 2.0L diesel engine, the price in Korea from 25 to 26.5 million won ($21,500 to $22,700), much cheaper compared to 28.2 to 40.1 million won ( $24,200 to $34,400) of the diesel engine 2.7L 5-cylinder.
Diesel engine 2.0L four-cylinder of Rexton RX4 with capacity maximum of 148 horsepower at 4000 rpm and 33.7 kg.m of torque at 2000-2500 rpm.
"The addition of this new version for Rexton line cars to help consumers have more choices," Mr Lee Yoo-il, director of SsangYong said.
Sports car this new version was equipped with systems to detect obstacles ahead, electronic toll payment system Hi-Pass and cruise control system.
Rexton RX4 is the first new car of SsangYong since the company out of bankruptcy protection status last year. The company is currently in the process of negotiating to sell a majority stake to raise capital and restructure. The agreement is expected to end before the new year.
