Bentley Continental SS breaks ice world speed record

Juha Kankkunen (four-times world champion) drove a Continental SuperSports Convertible to the new record on the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea (Finland). In 2007, Kankkunen has also set world speed records of 199.83 mph in a Continental GT.

"The ice speed record is an amazing feat by Juha Kankkunen. We will be celebrating this achievement with a very special ‘extreme’ Bentley, which will be the most powerful model ever to bear the famed Winged B emblem." Wolfgang Dürheimer - Bentley’s Chairman and new Chief Executive said.

Supersports Plus - Special model of Bentley will be produced in limited quantities 100 models and officially launched in Geneva next month.
