Mazda debut the BT-50 at Sydney Motor Show

Mazda said, the BT-50 will be present in nearly all the world, from the middle of next year, except the North American market.


At Sydney Motor Show taking place in Australia, Mazda has launched pickups named BT-50 were developed based on the Ford Ranger.

Mazda has not announced the specifications engine of the BT-50, but would be possible diesel engine 2.2L four-cylinder and 2.5L five-cylinder was used for the Ford Ranger. In addition, there may be a gasoline engine 2.5L four-cylinder.

Both the Ford Ranger and Mazda BT-50 will be assembled at the factory joint venture AutoAlliance in Rayong, Thailand, from early next year.

Expected, the Mazda BT-50 will be officially available on the market in Europe, Asia and Australia from mid 2011.
