Renault has fired three senior directors

Renault has fired three directors suspects related to the disclosure of plans to produce electric cars of the company. A Renault spokesman confirmed the news in January 4.

"At the end of August 2010, the committee monitoring compliance by the board of directors has received a warning, then an investigation was opened, leading to the dismissal of three senior executives of Renault," Renault spokesman said.

Three people were forced to leave their positions as a form of internal processing.


Renault expected to debut 4 model electric car from now until the end of 2012, including: Fluence EV (pictured above), Kangoo Express EV, Twizy and Zoe. Along with Nissan, Renault invest € 200 million per year (about U.S. $ 263.4 million) on programs to develop electric automobiles.
