BMW Have Plans For New Supercar

BMW is planning a luxury sports car with hybrid engine and capacity of around 600 hp.


Technical Facility was rated satisfactory and the development team is awaiting consent. New supercar is expected to appear in spring 2013. Called the M8, it was based on the Vision EfficientDynamics concept launched in Frankfurt 2009. Compared with the concept, future cars will be longer than 127 mm, height 124 mm and width 190 mm..

The M8 equipped a V10 engine, capacity of 507 hp at 7750 rpm and maximum torque of 520 Nm with two electric motors, one at the front axle and one at rear axle. First electric motor with capacity of 80-115 hp, second more than 50 hp.

The chassis by aluminum alloy, body vehicle by carbon fiber, seats by Kevlar fiber and many parts by magnesium compounds and lightweight materials to help the M8 weighs under 1,800 kg, acceleration 0-100 km/h after 3.8 seconds.

The M8 would price be about $ 185,000.
